Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the BestWebDev website (bestwebdev.uk) and the Command Center application (app.bestwebdev.uk), both operated by Chris Best, trading as BestWebDev, an independent business based in the United Kingdom. By using either, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Web development, automation and other project work we do for you is covered by the quote or agreement we make with you for that project. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement takes priority for that work.
2. Using the website
The website is provided for information about our services. You're welcome to browse it and to contact us through the form or by email. The information on it is general and is not a quote or a contract.
3. Using Command Center
Command Center is a web application for managing websites, content and performance. Access is through an account. See what Command Center does. To use it you agree to:
- give accurate account information and keep your password secure, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed without permission;
- use it only for lawful purposes and only for sites, accounts and data you own or are authorised to manage;
- not attempt to disrupt it, gain access to other users' data, or reverse-engineer or copy it;
- only connect Google accounts and properties you are authorised to connect, and comply with the terms of any third-party service you connect, including Google's;
- check content generated with AI assistance before publishing it. You are responsible for what you publish.
How we handle your data, including Google user data, is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Your content and data
You keep ownership of the content and data you put into Command Center. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service to you. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time by emailing chris@bestwebdev.uk.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the website and Command Center available but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may need to carry out maintenance, and features that rely on third-party services (such as Google or AI providers) can be affected by changes or outages we don't control. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. We'll give reasonable notice where we can.
6. Intellectual property
The website, Command Center, their design, code and branding belong to BestWebDev or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Command Center for its intended purpose. They don't transfer any ownership. Intellectual property in project work we do for you is dealt with in the agreement for that project.
7. Liability and disclaimers
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Subject to that, Command Center is provided "as is". Reports, suggestions and AI-assisted content are aids to your own decisions and we don't guarantee their accuracy or any particular result, such as search rankings or traffic. We're not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with Command Center is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows when they were last changed, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If a change is significant we'll tell Command Center users in advance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law where you live says otherwise.
